Deals for dumbasses

First up on the "great deals" discussion.

$3,000 for a 2008 (yeah, you read it right, two thousand eight) Pinarello Prince at Competitive Cyclist. What a f*cking bargain. Somewhat restoring my faith in humanity, this "sale" received a lukewarm reception. Not sure they even sold one frame.

Seriously. Anybody who buys this should call me immediately for a closeout price on a beta max player. They're making a comeback. Really.

Maybe Competitive Cycles will include a complimentary bottle of Vaseline with each frame. Or maybe the courtesy of a reach-around.

I have to admit I was intrigued by CC's other "special", a 2009 Pinarello Paris Carbon for $1600. I know I'm asking for it, based on the title of the thread, but is it simply the age of the (carbon) frame that's objectionable? I've never ridden carbon, and I'm probably out of touch with what is otherwise common knowledge.
Thanks,
B

Actually, the Paris isn't badly priced. It's a great frame. Just FYI, CC had dropped its price on the Prince to $2100 but now has raised it to $2750.

The Paris is now $1625. I don't think you can go too wrong with that. Only problem is that Pinarello only has a 2 year warranty.
