Devolder to Vacansoleil?

As Stijn Devolders contract with Quick-step comes to an end after this season a lot of teams are looking to sign him. A lot of people thought he would go to Radioshack where he would be reunited with his mentor, Dirk Demol. But now Vacansoleil claims they already have a deal with Volderke and only have to agree about the financial side of the deal.
Is Vacansoleil a good choice, or should he go to RS or stay with QSt? some thoughts?
I personally think he's of best at Vacansoleil although I'd prefer to see him stay with qst

Yup I think he'd be much better at Vacansoleil than RadioShack or Rabobank. I really like Vacansoleil, I hope they get a ProTour license some time!

I wonder if Vacansoleil are going to keep Leukemans. Theose two would make a combination not to be sniffed at in the classics, for a conti team at least.

Vacansoleil said they wanted to sign a bigger name, while Leukemans seems eager to go to a ProTour team.

I do like both Devolder and the team, but probably Vacansoleil would benefit more by having any GC rider at least for 1 week stage races.
Probably we'll have to wait few more weeks to see what's gonna happen.

About Leukemans, I heard that there would be a contract discussion between Leukemans and Vacansoleil after the classics, thus after Amstel Gold. In this they would discuss his stay and any possible reinforcements they would get mainly in support of Leukemans. Has anyone heard anything about the outcome of this meeting?

Johnny Hoogerland?

doesn't have the time trial abilities to really challenge small stage races.

I understand him doing well at the vuelta, the least demanding GT, but enough to beat some of the riders who do well in 1 week races as they rely heavily on the time trial.

The only thing he has won this year is the overall in the Tour of Belgium, which he got by obtaining 2nd on stage 5 and 3rd on the stage 4 ITT. His only other top 10 all year has been 9th at the Dreidaagse de Panne ITT. To be quite frank, his 2010 palmares suck for how much QS is paying him. Unless he can pull something out of the bag late in the season I think a step down to a Pro Conti team and a pay cut, but with a guaranteed leadership role, may be the best he can hope for.

he gave away that stage mind you, but yes, he needs to come with some big results
