Dura Ace 7800 Crank to BB86

I'm an absolute dunce when it comes to things like this, so please help me out.

I'd like to put an old Dura Ace 7800 crank on a bike with BB86. Will that work?

Would putting an adapter make it work? Just want to make sure before I go through all of the work to find out it was incompatible in the first place.

What crankset/BB is in there now? If it's a Shimano crankset it should be a straight swap with no adapters required.

BB86 is really just a shell width. It seems like it's most used with Shimano cranksets but many frame manufacturers make adapter kits that for other cranksets (different bearings and spacers)

As the other poster said, if you currently have a Shimano crankset, then yes. If not, then you might need some adapters.
