This intrigues me. So it's not the Belgian Masked Singer but the Flandres one?

Does Belgium produce two versions of the show or something? One in French and one in Flemmish? And if so how common is that? Or do they even have any programming that is aimed at the whole country at once or is everything either French or Flemmish without much overlap?

According to Wikipedia there is only one version of the masked singer in Belgium. The first series was won by the 1986 Eurovision winner Sandra Kim who is from Wallonia.

There are two versions of The Voice in Belgium: The Voice Belgique and The Voice van Vlaanderen.

Ya, I wikied TV in Belgium and it seems it's completely separate. A lot of things seems to be completely divided between the two languages (or three if you count german). It's almost like they are two completely different countries under the same National header.

It rather begs the question if there is even any joint national Belgian identity at all.

Don't know about a Walloonian Masked Singer but yeah, TV is seperated. There isn't a 'national' channel, only a national broadcaster with different channels for the different regions/languages.

I'm not going to turn this into a political discussion because we'd be here for a couple of days and I would be accused of being a separatist. But yeah, there isn't really much of a national identity, and I would say the feeling of unity is the lowest on the Flemish part of the border.

You know you guys are always welcome back to the fold.. :tonguewink:

The discussion in the General News thread about cyclists playing golf reminded me of this one.

Paul Kimmage caddied for Nick Faldo at the 2005 Heineken Classic, at the time the most lucrative golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia .
