Ferrari still in business

Ferrari still in business, 30k emails discovered

From Betsy's Facebook...

https://www.facebook.com/betsy.andreu/posts/10204056319785785

Anders K. Christiansen of Norway's VG writes that Ferrari is still in business with over 30,000 emails discovered between Ferrari and clients (emails now in possession of police, Finnish server). Within the past few years, it has been discovered that Ferrari asked Armstrong to get a job for his son's Norwegian girlfriend at Livestrong or in the fashion industry. Approriate since she lists working for Ferrari's website on her resume. Short Q & A with Frankie but I have no idea what it says.

special doping packages to fool the passport. Which generation is doing this? The new clean one or the old generation that stopped doping in 2006?

It was fairly obvious what was going on for the last few years. I could name a few but will refrain. This is too funny.

Just you wait. Mid pack Italian riders will be on a Ferrari program but getting beat by new clean generation English speaking riders.

I do not understand how they cannot stop this guy. He is the Salvatore Lo Piccolo of the cycling world.

Not only is he still doping riders, he's offering expertise on how to beat the Biological passport and making tons of money doing it.

Thirty thousand emails is an insane amount of correspondence. It cannot be just cyclists he's training.

Ferrari and that damned camper van-someone needs to set that thing on fire.

Like an accountant there's nothing illegal in helping people get around the tax code.

It appears he no longer administers drugs nor transports them, just consultancy. Therefore I don't think he's actually doing anything wrong in the eyes of the law.

The issue really is with the cyclists and that the UCI doesn't do a hell of lot in relation to Doctors etc.

wow that's classy...people got banned on these forums for way less than that.

the big problem of police globally: an evil doctor gives to guys all over the world advice about how to ride faster a bike. he doesn't even give them illegal substances just some knowledge. the new al-qaeda right there.
these prosecutors should hunt serious criminals not guys on lycra who inject epo in order to beat strava times.

At least we have evidence that a certain team is friends with the UCI. The rest if just speculation of course, but nothing would surprise me.

New era they say, but to me it looks exactly like around 2002.

I'd assume most teams have docs with the know-how to get round the passport.
Although Sky looked like they lacked one this season.

It's a shame they had to pretend to cut loose Leinders. Once they lost the Zoroli connection they just fell apart.

those teams that have internal testing will only have that to avoid testing positive and for getting round the passport.....

edit: €400,000 wonder is Ferrari having to pay someone in Italy to keep himself out of gaol.....

Why would Ferrari to to jail?

He's not actually doing anything illegal. As long as he's declaring his Italian based income all should be above board.

I don't believe it. The official position of the UCI, teams, and the riders is that the bio passport makes getting away with doping impossible. Fast climbs are all due to tailwinds, which have increased dramatically since 2008 because of global warming.

I feel the good doctor is being framed.

Little surprise really....the Reasoned Decision was basically a 1000 page marketing exercise telling the world that Ferrari was the best in the business. Why wouldn't someone in need of a contract drop the guy an email?

As mentioned, Ferrari's website is still up and still offering coaching services.

I may be wrong, but if a license holder in a WADA-compliant sport is found to be working with a WADA-banned doctor, then sanctions may arise.

But, this is the UCI. Doping isn't a problem.

Having David Walsh in their pocket just isn't as effective!

Correct. Walsh was there to smooth over the bumps but nothing like 40mg of Horse steroids pumping through your veins. Thats the marginal gains.

But well played Brailsford for duping Walsh into the gig.

Michelle must get a lot of email from desperate donkeys wanting to become the next big thing. I wonder if he also has smaller packages for the poor riders out there, or if he is only offering the 400,000 euro deluxe 100% bio passport proof package to the very best.

But yes. Reading those emails would probably be the best thing ever.

There's the potential to blow the sport wide open again. Would have been great if the Texan ponzi peddler told all but this could be even better, with much newer information than he could possibly give.

Exciting news nevertheless, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not just cycling involved cos doping aside Enzo knows his stuff scientifically.

Still think LeMond should run the NSA, if them in tandem with GCHQ here in the UK are spying on everyone's emails to the disgust of the public they should at least do a good thing while doing a bad - destroy blood doping in sports by intercepting their communications and discretely informing law enforcement agencies wherever and finding all the dopers email stores just like the Norwegian paper has - easily.
