Cycling News, how can I stop the full screen toothpaste adds?

You can't I don't think. It is just a new marketing measure I feel. Pretty typical for a lot of news sites though.

This sort of issue has been discussed before. I use Mozilla Firefox (browser) along with the Fire Fox extension 'Adblock Plus'.
What ads?

Sometimes pop up when you go to the main page of cycling news - not a big drama though as straight away I think they give you an 'X' to close it down.

What the Kcuf is this Carp?

Everybody hates popups!
The only thing I think of when I see a popup is, how do I close it.
The only thing I think about the advertiser is how much I hate you.

Malaysia airlines.. How can you possibly think it is your interests to **** people off?

It's a new format that the ad teams are selling. Like someone has said they're pretty common on sites these days. Some ads are geo-targetted based off where you live so chances are that if you're in the US or Australia you'll see different ads to me.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

This matter is not directly connected to ''full screen ads'', but I did not know where else to post it and seemed silly to open a new thread.

I had this side advert (adblock was turned off) telling me ''All Gay Caribbean Hollydays'', and an image of three men hugging on a cruise ship, semi-naked. I think you should convince AdChoices to filter their ads. I also understand it varies from country to country, but it was in english (not my native language), so there is a chance of you seeing it as well.

The only reason I am writing this its because I don't think such advert belongs to this site.

Cheers.

Edit: There it is again.
