Garmin Fans Buck Up!

Are you starting to feel like being a Garmin fan will lead to nothing but disappointment?

Good news. Just hold on for about 4 years because this is what the GT squads should look like (unless Trek-Livestrong cherry picks some more).

Dan Martin
Tyler Farrar
Cameron Meyer
Christain Meir
Tim Duggan
Steve Cozza
Blake Caldwell
Dan Holloway
Peter Stetina
Dan Summerhill
Caleb Fairly
and hopefully they get smart and grab Boulder native Teejay Van Gardenn(?) from Rabobank.

Teejay is rock solid and a future star. He played it smart and went to Europe to cut his teeth rather than playing it safe and staying state side.

currently hi up in GC in the Olympian tour and a very close send in the young rider category.

Maybe Tommy D will comfortable riding in the peleton by then :p

Seriously, if they can add Mini back into the picture, if his old man hasn't burned the bridge to JV, when Lance gets bored owning a team. We could get an American powerhouse team.

Even without him, that is a really nice lineup for the future, its been fun watching these guys progress.

I'm also interested to see the progression of Brit Dan Holloway. This kid has the guns to be the next great Brit sprinter but will Cav make room?

Isn't he a Colorado kid? He's been riding for JV's junior teams for years now.

Never mind, I guess thats why they have (Gbr) after his name in the results. I am just so used to hearing his name around hear in CO, must have confused him with Danny Summerhill.

I thought he was too but Cyclingnews had him list (GBr)? He has been with Garmin's U23 dev team. He is also Colby Pearce track partner in the fall.

I don't see Armstrong leaving cycling from here on out. It didn't take long for him to almost drift into obscurity the first time.

Who doesn't think that Armstrong will continue to build his legacy after he retires. Team owner for years and years to come.

Are the GPS's racing and winning vs the riders this year :D

They need instead a competition against the French teams, who will lose less time to the winner competition

Garmin seem to have all the talk but none of the walk. but then they have david millar as one of their main riders so what do you expect.

Peter Stetina won Stage 1 of the Ronde de l'Isard, a very hard stage race for U-23s in France.

Garmin have some good riders but there's nothing to stop these guys moving elsewhere once they can command a big salary.

Good news for Garmin

Dan Martin is second overall after giving Valverde all he could handle and more in todays stage of the Volta Catalunya. He is definitely a future star and should be fun to watch in the Tour this year.

I think it is unlikely Dan Martin will ride the Tour this year. Probably ride the Vuelta instead.

I thought they announced early in the season he would race the Tour. Anyone know for sure?

... Just wondering if Dan Martin might be a contender for the white jersey in the Tour this year? I can dream - and dreaming is free! JV
