In the latest issue of Procycling (Wiggo on cover) someone wrote in asking to have the Garmin rice cake recipe reprinted. The recipe is reprinted but baking temps & time are not provided. Does anyone know what those would be?

Allen Lim’s Rice Cakes “Francois” Recipe:
Transfer to a shallow baking pan (9×9) and, using a spatula, firmly press down on mixture. Let cool, cut into bars sized to slip into a jersey pocket and wrap in foil. Refrigerate.

A belated thanks for providing the links. I made a batch this weekend and found them to be rather tasty.

I've not had the opportunity to try them while riding but I have sampled them. They taste pretty darn good so worth making your own if you get the chance.

Since my original post and making several batches I got to wondering how these would taste after being dipped in some kind of chocolate to help maintain their form. I figure they wouldn't taste too bad, but then again the addition of a chocolate coating might seriously alter the taste.

Also has anyone made these and used them in the summer? I'm curious as to how they'd hold up in a jersey pocket over the course of a long ride.
