Bad route for Froome. No long flat ITT and cobbles.

The route suits Contador brilliantly, but who knows with the Giro in his legs.

I agree on the no TT part for Froome. If he can keep it upright over cobbles, then he just goes alien on the MTFs. He placed very well at the Vuelta MTFs towards the end. He has such strange performances it's impossible to know what's going on.

99-05 they tried tried to make it harder for Armstrong but nothing helped.

but USPS strategy was all about using 8 men to make it harder for Arnstrong's competitors to either shell competitors teams before the last climb, or to weaken Lance's competitors so they were the ones who could not attack on the last climb.

Lance being the best climber and timetrialer, plus having the 8 strongest teammates, 2 which would have been top 10 calibre if they rode their own race, one of whom might have been a podium finisher if he was a team leader, gave the ASO no berth to tweak the race in others favour

It would suit him even better if there was a 2013 Embrun type of ITT. Very hilly. He's just incredibly good at that.

Yeah.. Pulled the white flag..
Then went crazy in 2006-07 to redeem themselves...
That worked out quite well...

I think they learned a lesson, never put all your eggs in one basket...

However -if all the baskets are dirty............
