Does anyone not ask the question as to how Gilbert suddenly becomes so dominant? Have we not seen these magical rises in riders only to have our admiration and respect dashed. It is not a matter of if, but rather, when....

We all know how Contador has done it, we know how Valverde did it, we saw it with Ricco, out of nowhere came Mosquera.......and now Gilbert wins all three of these races...and out duels the lethal pair of Schlecks. C'mon boys....drop the rose coloured glasses and drink some reality juice. I wonder what is in the magic elixir this time? We all wish we were wrong but we do know better. We all love the beauty of this sport but we cannot be so naive.

look at the 3 races individually.

AGR: fits him like a glove.
Fleche: His opponents pretty much handed the victory to him.
LBL; he followed one schleck movement, and then they didn't try once to drop gilbert. Obviously he is the better uphill sprinter.

considering how each race was ridden, and the opponents tactics, it is hardly shocking or curious why he dominated the ardennes.

Other then that, Gilbert has been progressing each year, probably starting his peak this season.

of course he could be doping, like others. But the results of the last week don't make him suspect imo.

maybe they asked that question in the nearly 300 response threat titled "no way Gilbert is clean", just a couple of lines below this one?

You insult the original poster, but then essentially say he is correct?!?!?!

The original poster states incorrectly that Philippe Gilbert is a sudden phenomenon, which has been proven to be false.

Additionally, when the OP says "We all wish we were wrong but we do know better" when referencing Gilbert, where is the proof that he has an amazing array of pharmaceutical products helping propel him faster than all comers? That smacks of "guilty by association until proven innocent".
