Possibly. Though his climbing stability doesn't inspire confidence. And yet he can get top-3 at least I think. He was ill during the second week last year iirc.

Yeah, because of that sickness he was really good at the Dauphiné. If he could reach the same level in the final Giro week he can win this.

Not for GC, but stage win or polka-dot should be possible. Also because he won't be at the Olympics or Worlds anymore.

The tour thing is just a guess of mine. It would fit with some of those Scarponi-is-doing-the-tour news.

Apart from Gadret, Dupont, Bonnafond and maybe Perget the team will be useless. Assuming they will be picked, I think the remaining slots will go to Montaguti, Belletti, Gastauer, Houanard and Zargari.

Rafal Majka has problems with his knee and won't ride the Giro.

He will be off his bike as well; for almost 2 months. So Tour de Pologne is also a big doubt for him.

Majka will be Contador's Szmyd in the Vuelta. I can see it already: Majka destroying the field alone from the bottom of Lagos Covadonga and going all the way to the top with Contador on his wheel. He cracks on the final km and Berto waits for him and paces him to a truely deserved stage win.

Repeat on Bola del Mundo.

Obviously there are some more capable riders in Saxo Bank than Majka. Navarro is doing as good as we can expect from him, both the Sorensen are good riders, Nuyens,....

Judging from his desperate attempt to breakaway on the flat stage on Pays Vasco, he doesn't even dream about it.
