Great race with a really unexpected ending ... for the longest time I thought the peloton had given up and either Leukemans or someone from the group of 6 had it in the bag.

Then great teamwork by Europcar, but incomprehensible tactics from Cofidis. They had 5 riders in the "peloton" but chose to attack with 3 kms to go.

LEOPARD TREK animated the race all day, but to be honest I thought they'd blown their chances with that breakaway. Great job by Pires, Mortensen and Clarke, I really didn't expect them to be that strong today. Also good race from Renshaw, even though he missed out in the end.

Probably they were "cooked".

Cofidis had 5 in the top 15, should've used their team strength better there. Adrien Petit could become France's next top classics rider. Ninth today, ninth in K-B-K.

Just saw the last 10 km of the race. Pires did an amazing job bringing Leukemans back and still bridged the gap to the latter attacks. Nice to see he's not just some marketing signing for the lux team and he's delivering.

Klemme...oh my, that stroke was painful to watch. He deserved the win, though, never looked back.

That's also what I thought, he also did a lot of work earlier in the race when they broke away for a little bit. I was really surprised by his performance, because I thought he was a pure climber

Here you have videos of the highlights, the last 3 km, and even the whole race:

as you may have missed Tour of Turkey last year:

Stage 3:

1. VISCONTI Giovanni ISD
2. SPILAK Simon LAM
3. TAARAMÄE Rein COF
4. PAURIOL Rémi COF
5. MONCOUTIÉ David COF

they had 3 riders in a front group of 5 that day - impressive result ;)
