I recently bought a second-hand dream bike with Campagnolo 11 EPS v3. Everything worked well….for a while. It seems that I somehow destroyed the battery. The MyCampy app says everything is working but unless the charger is plugged in the shifters don’t appear to be getting any power: they work if I test them in the app so the connections must be ok. Here’s a list of my questions for anyone brave enough:

1) A new battery is €400. Is there no alternative?
2) I have seen a battery online for €100, new, but without cables. I’m not an engineer so would it be possible for me to connect the cables from the old battery to this new one?
3) If I do buy a new battery for €400 is connecting it relatively simple or do I need to get a degree first?
4) Should I just get a mechanical 12 speed upgrade kit for €600 and sell off the EPS parts?
5) How can such an expensive battery be so sensitive? I don’t know how it suddenly stopped working but the red light on the charger is telling me something is wrong with it. I’ve read about a reset but that didn’t help…..

There seems to be very little information online regarding this topic. Probably more regarding Shimno but I won‘t I won‘t allow the “S-word” near my bikes. Yes, I’m a Campagnolo purist 😁
