Hit and Run........again !

Yep, that sucks monkey balls.

There are good and bad drivers everywhere, but I have honestly never seen the same level of aggression and stupidity that I used to see from Australian drivers. Makes me glad I left, never to return.

Yep, I have this argument all the time. Australia is the only nation that downright refuses to share the roads.

Who argues otherwise? Australia is the only place I have had things thrown at me. It is the only place I have seen drivers deliberately "buzz" cyclists (occasionally killing them, of course). Accidents happen, but sometimes they're not accidents.

Here in Canada, where I live now, drivers sometimes show lack of judgement, and are sometimes impatient, but unlike Australia, I never get the sense that they would really prefer just to injure or kill me, just for being on the road.

I lived in the UK for a few years. It is similar to Canada in that there is more-often-than-not mutual respect, sometimes frustration but rarely aggression and assault. Europe is better still.

The UK is pretty bad for cyclists. I've had it all. I know someone in the UK got shot at whilst riding. Motorists don't understand that cyclists are human beings with feelings, with families. What can we do? Seems to be more of a problem in the English speaking parts of the world.

Want to get away with murder in the court of public opinion? Run over a cyclist in Australia.

Not only there, its a pretty universal clause in all countries. :(
