As I am getting absolutely sick of hitting F5 because the forum has crashed again - I would just like to know how broad this issue is.

Added a zero option, and moved this to the proper section as well.

Was slow reloading at times for me, and crashed once (seconds after Aru finished).

Thanks Afrank

It was everytime the conversation went to a new page for me. I have a decent PC and given that we have seen continuous crashing before drew me to one conclusion.

If we are getting crashes on a Wednesday afternoon nowhere near the end of a Grand Tour, what on earth is it going to be like when there is some serious traffic ??!

Oh I see it has been moved.

I don't think anyone will see it there and it is pertinent to the professional cycling forum.

I know I would not see it.

Would appreciate it being moved back just for today if poss. Thanks

+1 on the bolded.

That said I was streaming the race on my local PC and had a RD connection to my work PC open as well so I'm not sure I can apportion all the blame to CN...

It didn't really crash for me, but the load times were a lot longer than normal. Strangely that was only when refreshing. Going to a next page went a lot smoother.

Alright, just for today it can remain here so people see it. Then I'll move it back.

I had two tabs open: the forum and the race feed. My feed was super super choppy, and the forum kept giving me "Cannot Display Web Page." I finally closed the forum and--VOILA--problem solved. The feed smoothed out.

But I didn't get to make an *** out of myself with hyperbolic posts when Froome first lost contact. Which is maybe a good thing. ;) :p

Could the problem be the fancy new video ads? Maybe my machine just can't handle all the bling.

Was impossible to load towards the end of the race, both main site and forums. Mobile was equally useless, so i switched eurosports coverage by BS just to keep up with what was happening.

Last time this happened was during the dauphine, i remember it like yesterday.

Froome was going full ***. Forum was struggling during the event just like Contador was struggling following the madman.

Best moment of the year, the forum couldn't handle it.

It's different form last year though when Froome attacked on Ventoux. On that occasion the pages took a really long time to load, or not load at all, but it would take a long time in both cases. Yesterday and today it either loaded immediately or went immediately to "connection failed" I think it was.

Thanks for everyone's posts.

Despite the most common vote being zero, I think that by virtue of the fact that at least 2/3rds of people are experiencing some crashing issues on a relative non event day like today (Wednesday afternoon) should be a huge RED FLAG to those responsible for the maintainence of this forum.

If cycling news does want this forum to thrive which it evidently is doing it must keep its part of the bargain and make sure it is not so susceptible to crashing!

I suspect that the next Queen stage on a grand tour where we dont have a clear winner as in this years TDF, this forum will be so liable to crashing that it will not be worth trying to post a comment !

I love this forum and I beg the MODS, Editors and all Cycling News to get a grip, communicate with each other and sort this problem out once and for all !!!
