Ok, need everyone's help on this... Back in Oct/Nov I remember reading an article or interview with one of Sassi's protoge's. He was discussing the merit of training with HR vs. Power. I've looked back through the archives and can't find it and I can't remember the Dr/Coach's name. If you know what I'm looking for speak up please.

Thanks!!

Not sure about the article, but there is plenty of info available out there.
What are you looking to find out?

It wasn't linked to comments by Ivan Basso that he was going back to HRM based training becaues he felt the Power based training wasn't working for him was it?

That's what I thought of. How Basso was talking about how his HRM - both on and off the bike - gave him more direct information on him, his body, recovery, etc. than just the power meter.

Can anyone find that, or clarify?

Luca Guercilena, student of Sassi, currently with quickstep, was talking about how he prefers working with heart rate monitors in the december issue of Cycle Sport. Don't know if you can find it online.

I remember he said that power meters have to be regularly calibrated.I bet there are plenty of amateurs out there who never calibrate.
