If you could give props to anyone...

Props, high-fives, ataaways, whatever you want to call it. Sporting or non-sporting. If you could pick anyone out and applaud them for what they have done or stand for who would it be?

I would start with this:

...because of this (quoting an article from the Washington Times):
Tim Tebow is unpredictable and improbable — symbolizing the triumph of will over skill. The values he embodies are an almost perfect counter to the nation’s sour and defeatist mood. He is relentlessly polite and optimistic, ferociously hardworking, and committed beyond all else to the idea of team over self.

Discuss.

Not a perfect character but has to be possibly the first name on any such list.

To be honest I feel a bit scared simply admiting I like him on the internet.

Every Italian ive met says they admire him. You too Zam?

Also essentially the same idea though he has already paid with his life for it - Giovanni Falcone. A greater hero than Saviano who spat at the deathreats he was given, admiting that he knew he was walking straight into the grave, and continued doing his job right up until the point that the last bullet stopped his heart.

The Colombian version of this was Rodrigo Lara Bonilla.

We all know one of the problems with traditional chemotherapy is the emaciating side effects it can have on the body. So this prop is to Mark E. Davis, California Institute of Technology, for developing a new delivery system for cancer treatment medicines that greatly reduces the harmful effects to the body. This technology may soon be a real option for cancer patients.

The following video link explains how the treatment works compared to other forms of chemo.

This link explains where the developers of the system are at in relation to the FDA’s clinical trial process and what the different stages of development are in the FDA's process.
