Is there a market for older Campy Record Hubs

I have several older wheels built up on 36 hole Campy Record high and low flange hubs that are just collecting dust at this point. I'm wondering if these have any value to folks doing restoration work or anything else for that matter.
I also have a couple of old yet never built up 36 hole Fiamme Red label rims and a ~ 1973 vintage Schwinn Paramount frame that should find a good home.

Any ideas if there is a market for these? I'd love to see them put to use

Thanks for any input you might have.

The high flange hubs are still popular with track riders and lots of hipsters look for them too on their street fixies. Ebay them as wheels or if the spokes and rims are shot as hubs. Some road hubs can add a track adaptor to allow a fixed rear over the free wheel threads or use a bmx freewheel. Yo can still find bearings and races for the hubs too. I don't know what the demand is but these parts are still better than a lot of modern hubs. And don't forget the novelly items like salt shakers and candle holders.

...my friend, you are sitting on a veritable fortune....the oldsters and the hipsters have really inflated the market for that stuff....go to ebay and take a gander at the prices for vintage Campy stuff...you will laugh yourself silly...so if things go well you could parlay your stash into a nice new bike or a new Porsche ( just kinda kidding:) )...

...good luck...and btw show absolutely no mercy to the buyers...assume they are all Rapha clad $chmuck$ with more money than brains and they will pay top dollar to look cool .( unless proven other-wise of course...though vet carefully here because when I sold a similar stash I had some real weasels trying to leverage deals and using any excuse to get a bargain...in the end they all caved... )....

Cheers

campy hubs

If the hubs are the older, freewheel hubs, people like me buy them for making wheels for a fixed-gear bike. You can contact me at srs428@msn.com.

I found an old unused record headset the other day in my boxes. The old campag stuff is aesthetically and technically a thing of great beauty. I'm holding onto it for my dream bike.

I raced on old gran turismo hubs in 80's and i still have the wheels that still run good.

The record hubs are/were ace. Hell, they look like they can be nothing else than smooth.

I'd love to get an old classic bike set up someday. The old record mech with the black still makes me smile much more than any modern gear does.

You'll find a happy user no problem. And how can we ever talk about a cyclist with more money than sense? My girlfriend thinks we all have no sense:)

Ps strangely enough i was out the other day and thinking about old bikes during the ride and actaully tried to change gear with a non existant downtube shifter:rolleyes:

Excellent information from all of you. The prices shown via a quick Ebay tour nearly floored me. It will be fun to pass on my old hubs, cranks, derailleurs, pedals etc. to a folks that will enjoy them.
