Has he been misquoted or is it a Jalabert "Colemanballs" moment...

Firstly he says "Last year Contador went with 300 metres to go but that's a long way out on the Mur".

Then he contradicts himself "The Mur is 1300 metres long, so you can't go too early."

The second statement can be read in two ways:

1) It's impossible to go too early
2) You shouldn't go too early

Yeah, you can't go too early and expect to win. Makes perfect sense.
