this premise of "are <hint hint, cough cough> they doping?" is a false dichtomy, because they achieve results, ergo, doping.

Well this is the only part of your post that made sense, but I don't see how it is a false dichotomy. The riders are either doping or they are clean, there aren't any middle grounds or other options.

Gerrans and Lloyd won their stages from long breaks, so comparing their talents/results isn't too relevant.

Again: reputation based on what? Hearsay? His long streak of victories? His lightning attacks?

His most unsuspected achievement was his 7th = 6th place in the Giro 3 years ago. The same Giro Sella was busted and Ricco slipped through the maze to be busted later on.

But do enlighten me with this insider info you are apparently sitting on.

I've never claimed to be an insider but several people on here have claimed that José De Caluwé was a supplier of PEDs when JVDB was still an amateur and had a reputation for taking PEDs, and another poster who is based in Holland used to ride on the Elite scene and Johnny Hoogerland and Nikki Terpstra had a reputation for going on a 'shopping' trip to Belgium and be flying when they did their next race.

Also why I used words like 'allegations', and 'rumours', and unlike blackcat where I won't just called somebody a straight-out doper (like Wigans or Cav, but have no basis for it).

Ah, other forum members... Of course.

You HAVE GOT to be kidding me.

I haven't called a JVDB a doper, I just said it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Perhaps logic fails you.

Extremely bad analogy alert as I am not talking about a random guess.

Of course you are. If not, let's see some evidence.

No, that's not what you said. You said he had a reputation. Based on nothing. Reading comprehansion fails you it seems.

It wouldn't surprise me anyone in the peleton is a doper. Doesn't mean i'm going to randomly point fingers based on... what some guy on an anonymous forum said.

Not really helping your case here.

Good for you.

Surprised you haven't gone after all the posters who make a doping thread on the day's stage winner who have accused a rider of doping without showing anything. Nor blackcat who calls Sky and Cav dopers and has never backed his claims up except by saying to look at their faces which is apparently the result of HGH abuse. That's a whole lot worse than what I've apparently done.

Sorry but sometimes I question your logic.

this guy, de mondenard, is talking common sense.

regarding vansevenant's doping package found just before the tour:
« plusieurs éléments indiquent que c’est pour une pratique dopante à l’échelle d’une équipe : les quantités importantes, la sophistication du produit, le fait qu’il soit sans doute indécelable… et la commande faite juste avant le Tour. »
Several indications suggest doping practice across a team: the large quantities, the sophistication of the product, the fact that it is probably undetectable... and the order placed just before the Tour.
