I guess it won't be in English, but the thing that gets me is this quote:

“I admit my guilt, but have no regrets”

That's nice... At least he's honest about it though...
This is part of the problem. Maybe he he faced a few years with Bubba as his cellmate he might have thought twice before he facilitated Kohls cheating.

Sorry if that seems illogical to those who find simple reasoning makes their brains hurt. :D

It's unclear whether he has actually finished the book or whether a someone has agreed to publish it. It sounds like he is floating sound bikes to the press to publicize his defense ("I told Kohl not to do it.."), and I just don't think he or Kohl is a big enough fish to sell a lot of books.

Manager, not doctor.

If I buy this (if it's offered) as an E book will a Kindle convert it to English? Is there a program that will convert it? I try and read lots of things sent to me in German and Dutch and if it's small I get through but not a whole book, no way

Actually Matschiner was much more than just Kohls Manager, he was probably the most sucessful organiser of systematic doping in Europe behind Dr.Fuentes.
He not only sold doping products but also organised the blood transfusions at a lab in Vienna and later bought the machines from the lab and did the transfusions at his home and later in Hungary.
The list of people who have "worked" with him becomes longer every day, from cyclists like Kohl, Rasmussen, Dekker, Cauchioli and others to xc skiers like olympic gold medallist Hoffmann, a lot of biathletes and runners like former european steeplechase record holder Simon Vroemen(already busted twice).
Lately 800m olympic silver medallist Stephanie Graf has admitted to have been at the lab but says she didn't put the blood back into her body(yeah of course..).He also worked closely with Dr.Stechemesser, whose athletes got caught for EPO-doping one after another over the last 2-3 years.

come on, this is absurd. All the bad taste in the world, does not defuse the blood tapping for PED programs by a sports manager. That is bad taste, absurd, and risible. My post was a meta parody of this DIY dope program.

Susan and your sense of humour do not always mesh. Some things are simply not funny.

And I redid my edit to indicate that it was my comment.

Matschiner has already admitted everything to the police, Bernhard Kohl is working with the austrian police and named several other top athletes, among them TDF stage winner Totschnig(who denies it). Also the ceo of the Lab has admitted that they have done "some kind" of blood transfusions with about 30 international athletes, their spin is that the reinfusion took place somewhere else or never happend so that it was all legal (except not paying taxes).
I wonder that people here havent heard about it as this story has been going on for months, already before Kohl admitted doping.
Menchov was already in Austria for the investigation, i think there were several former Rabobank riders on an inofficial client list.

He's said he's going to squeal like a pig, but I'll completely believe it when I read it. First, ex-riders such as Ullrich, Hamilton and Vinokourov have talked about writing tell-all books, but don't come out. Second, Matchiner made the statement that he will wait a while and,

“It will certainly be held until after my trial. There might be something in it that will be a burden to me.”

I for one would welcome a Willy Voet like confession, but he may find himself in both a lot of hot water, and under a tremendous amount of internal pressure from whatever friends and family he has left when he gets out of jail to remain fairly silent, and turn the book into a autobiography with few names, and fairly vague statements on doping.

If he does spill his guts, it appears he could completely blow the lid on doping in European sports, bigger than Voet even did.

By opening a possible threat on other riders and athletes, Kohl is forcing them to react. At least they can try to pay him to shut up.
