Imagine if lance won a stage at the tour down under... the media would go absolutely crazy.

If Armstrong won a stage, it would probably be enough to get Robert Merivel out of hibernation 6 months early, Jackhammer would probably come back too, just to try and stick it to us one last time. Does anybody remember those guys?

Merivel was crazy, thread after thread about he who must not be named. How Alberto should ride for him etc.

Here you go found a list of his palmares:

Alpe, so true. If I could bring back one thing from the dead it would be real investigative journalism - critical questioning has died in favour of taking the money for sloppy celeb retreads. The stuff parading itself as journalism in Australia and from Versus would be a joke if it wasn't so unfunny.

Good old Robert "The Muppet" Merivel. He would start three or four Armstrong threads a day.

Jack was just plain crazy and dangerous. He was one of those guys you read about who stalks his ex-girlfriend for years after a break-up until the police finally catch him in her house collecting her toenail clippings.

What is really sad is that there is a large segment of the population that cannot tell the difference. They suck up everything the joke of a press reports without any critical thought at all, even if it contradicts what was reported the week before.

... that will have the fanboys drooling.
The advantage of being the one name, most of these non-cycling hacks, know.

Hi Mellow, reading from the sidelines and without being invested in the longstanding Lance debates on this forum, it does seem that the use of "fanboy" to describe those who choose to believe the LA charade simply detracts from your point.

Also, what makes "non-cyclists" worthy of the description "hack"??

Let's try to be civil, eh.
