We had to put up with their fanboy trolling for years. YEARS. It was maddening. Their evolution was predictable, and today the egg on all their faces means that it is highly unlikely they will ever come here and try to repair the damage they did. They slandered Betsy, Mike, and many, many others who simply told what was plainly obvious to anyone not blinded by hero worship.

Lance was driver of all their hatred and hours of time spent trying to thwart honest, well reasoned commentary on the obviousness of the doping. When he said that he doped last night, I am sure there was a gasp from many of them as they still probably believed in the myth. I'm sorry they believed in "miracles." They called us cynics, skeptics, and haters. We were always just some dudes and dudettes who could smell what The Rock was cooking. We fought hard and long on the battlefields of ignorance, striving with our every last breath to help them see the light of truth and all that is good and pure, but they would not see it...he would not see it.

Well, now I want my apology. I want Oprah to go back and do a 3 minute interview and ask him what name he posted under here... and his subsequent sock puppets. I want to hear the words "those dudes and dudettes were righteous warriors of truth and justice, and I salute them." Until then, I withhold my absolution. I know he cannot sleep without it, and I enjoy knowing he has sleepless nights where he lies awake thinking of the meanness in our twitter slap fight; where he thinks of the time his minions spent producing and slinging the sludge of their deceit.

Oh yes, Lance owes us an apology...but I will take cash also.

Moderators who acted as Armstrong's hatchetmen and women on the forums, allowing the trolls free reign while trigger happily banning those critical of Armstrong.

Trolls

The true believers who refused to believe the evidence when it was presented.

The nationalists who viewed the criticism as being anti-americanism by another name. (As a non-american this was thrown my way plenty over the years)

Those who lived their lives vaingloriously through Armstrong, and felt that any criticism of Armstrong was a criticism of them.

If they play the game right, the various journalists that sold the myth claim victim status. They were mislead!

They hitch a ride on consensus views on the way up and the way down. It offers plenty of insight into their personal values.

An apology from the trolls, however, is worth pursuing. The trolls, the flaming fanboys, and anyone that has ever spread or implied a falsehood or half-truth about Betsy, Greg or Texpat (probably others should be mentioned, but those three capture much of the negative Lance campaigning and two are active members).

I know it's easy to forget but I thought the guy that threatened your family might get a special mention, was that Carboncrank, Jackhammer?!

To be fair there were some amazing poster stories - I wonder what happened the guy who was an FBI agent, or the one who was a professor in psychology and using the Clinic as a case study, then there was the trans Atlantic pilot ..a few journalists, lots of people who served in the military, fun times.. maybe we could do a compilation of the best posts.
