When are Matthews and Dumoulin set to debut? Sunweb could take this out...

Dumoulin will debut next week at Abu Dhabi where there is a time trial. Matthews probably at Paris-Nice to my knowledge.

The problem for Sunweb in this competition is that apart from Tour Down Under and the Cadel race, they didn't ride any races until the Tour of Oman where Søren Kragh could have won something but crashed out.

Kristoff still has a lot of opportunities before the TT in Abu Dhabi (where Dumoulin will likely win) but he hasn't really been that close to a victory yet, which is surprising. Dan Martin could also close the competition on the Malhão tomorrow.

That is if Walscheid or Theuns don't win the sprint tomorrow in Oman.

Matthews is on the startlist of Omloop.

Well, not that easy , Dennis and Van Emden are normally better than him in a 11km TT.

You are very correct about that!
Sanchez won Vuelta a Murcia.
Cort won stage 4 of Tour of Oman.
Lopez won stage 5 of Tour of Oman.
Lutsenko is well on his way to win the overall of Tour of Oman.
And Moser won Trofeo Laigueglia, but that doesn't count since he was riding for the National Team.

Sorry, did not know about that :)

And it's done.
Not really. Theoretically, there are still 2 possible winners in this competition.

Sunweb- if they take a win in 2018 and UAE- in case Sunweb doesn't take a single win before the end of the year.

I know which one is more likely but it's not a done deal, yet.

That ever happened? A top-level team going an entire year without any wins?
The worst in the ProTour/World Tour era is four wins by Ag2r in 2012 and Fuji-Sevetto in 2009. Before that era Big Mat-Auber only had three in 2002. Before that it's hard to know as records aren't that good.

2014: Astana, 01/03
2013: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 12/04
2012: Ag2r, 18/05
2011: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 02/04
2010: OmegaPharma - Lotto, 18/04
2009: Silence - Lotto, 28/03
2008: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 08/03
2007: Bouygues Telecom, 22/04
2006: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 04/04
2005: Saunier Duval - Prodir, 19/05

PS: funny how QS went from the least winning team to the most winning team from '11 to '12.
