So Polti sefldestructed on the descent.
Oliveira had already started working when Polti replaced him.

Without Polti's help, Oliveira couldn't have competed in the stage.

I don't like the UAE winning these races, as the other forum member said, but aside from the difference in level, they make it very easy for them.

Today they did the job of the domestique who ended up winning the stage because he didn't act as a domestique . LOL

Counter by AWP!

ADDED: It was too flat for Prince Albert to get away, as Kubiš was immediately on his wheel.

It's too early with no Lotto or Intermarché or even Tietema there but it's definitely possible to go clear here on the last lap.

Bit dumb from Alpecin to not wait on that group. What are you going to do for 50k

Intermarché will close this

This wouldve been a really good group if Intermarché has someone good in it, but Girmay looked horrible.

Girmay trying to jump. Don't really understand why he dropped 5 minutes ago. If he didn't this group was gone

Everything back together. But last lap this will be carnage with Alpecin being this strong

Classic Belgian race. A bunch sprint preceded by stuff happening.

This one is different. Only teams that could control this race don't want a sprint. There's definitely a chance a good group goes clear on last sectors. If Girmay didn't drop earlier that previous group would've already been gone.

Guillermo Thomas Silva, Uruguayan champion. Someone mentioned there was a famous deaf magician called Thomas Silva, so that's what he's now called. I think it might've been Samu.

Indeed it was. Rather disappointingly, I have not not yet found any reason to compare him to Shaun Murphy, but I'm sure I will come up with something in due time.

Unless Uhlig stays ahead till the cobbles (pretty far) and Del Grosso and/or Kielich makes the jump this just looks like a waste of a lot of energy

Great example of going to hard in your attack. Always better to get some riders with you. But at least it makes teams work so that they have less domestiques later on.
