Group is far too big isn't it, if you have a downhill finish you at least need a more selective parcours
Yeah but a crash at 70km/h is probably worse.
I thought it was a general consensus after Jakobsen crash in Poland that it's probably not the smartest thing to do (it's not that steep I think this time but still)

Cahill's suggestion would solve some of the problems with such a finish, but I maintain that the variant belongs in road racing.

What a weird decision to make this race a sprint one when everyone planned to have their riders for the hills and climbs here.

And then the 2 of the teams with actual sprinters (Cofidis and Lotto) fail completely.
the old haut var stage to draguignan would have made for a much better route that also allows for a sprint
