Levi Leipheimer Hit by Car

Levi Leipheimer was hit by a car while training in Spain. There is a short interview with Levi on the Velonews site for those who are interested, sounded like a very scary accident. Best to Levi and hope he recovers soon.

You figure your out there enough that it's bond to happen. Funny thing is I almost had a woman in a van take me out Sunday too. She cut a left-hand turn into my lane like she was gunning for me. Lucky thing I was well to the right. She must of not wanted to take the van over the curb and through the stop sign.

Hope that Leipi gets back soon. PN bad luck and now this.

Glad he's ok, no broken bones so he should be fine for California. Hoping he makes a quick recovery and gets back to racing.

Ive made my fair share of snide comments about Levi, but no one deserves what he's experiencing. He's a great rider - best wishes for a quick recovery and competitive season.

in unrelated news, Ryo Hazuki was spotted driving in the Basque Country on Sunday dressed as an old man.

Seriously, though - holy crap, that's more intense than just being 'hit by a car'. I almost got killed being t-boned by a car at 55km/h last summer, and reading that sent shivers down my spine. Nobody deserves that.

Scary stuff - its definitely out there waiting for you and unfortunately sometimes, being careful isn't enough. :-(

Just a few hours ago my work colleagues and I were crossing a road and just as we passed in front of a stationary tram, there was a huge BANG. Turns out it was the tram being hit frmo behind by another one so hard its front caved in. Fortunately for us the first tram didnt move or we would definitely have been hit.
