It was a good race. Not a Vino fan, but don't really hate the guy either. He doped, served his time, he attacks and makes things interesting in most of the races he enters. Meh. At least Valverde didn't win.

+1

Gilbert must be dissapointed.

i don't know if they agreed on anything prior to the race... I mean they were both better off staying together till the finish.

or do you mean that they talked before the race to say where they would attack?
yes, that's what i meant. it is well known that vino, ivanov and kolobnev are personal friends speaking the same language.

I refuse to watch this. See you all tomorrow.

Bye.

+1. Best comment the entire race.

As in, "Houston, we have a problem".

Another great comment from Velonews:

"Great day for cycling, two un-repentant dopers on the podium."

I feel robbed.

Robbed of watching Vino these last few years.

If you're going to forgive somebody, forgive the exciting ones.

Yea, it would have been nice to see Gilbert win. He concentrated on the wrong people today.

I wonder how Schlecklet felt to tow Contador to the line. I would think that will become a very common sight in July...well, except for those couple of stages when he watches him ride away.

So, to just clear things up, the podium is

1. kolobnev
2. Gilbert
3. Evans

No, it's not.
Even in you're twisted logic you have to scrape the former T-Mobile and current Phonak rider.

I think Contador needs to go for stages and Vino for the win at the Tour.

P1 drugs cheat
P2 Kolobnev
P3 A guy banned from racing in Italy
P4 Gilbert
P5 Evans

Gilbert should be proud of himself - tremendous ride against the odds.
:D

pretty happy to see evans up there despite the lack of pull from P3...
would have preferred to see kolobnev come through for the win though.

Yeah.... I deleted my post quoting him. Felt it better not to repeat that garbage.

LOL.........

He gets a little upset cos his man crush didnt win and now people are sticking up for him. I just want to help him out in a more positive way.

It was a great race, thats whats important.

ACF would be happy to watch a 10kmhr parade if Cuddles won it at the end. People who like to watch bike racing would disagree.
