Well done Blythe !

What a pathetic turnout of spectators.

I was at the race today, would blame spectators for not going - absolutely horrible weather out there today.

I had to go to an event type thing, but if it hadn't been for that I'd have been watching on BBC1!

One thing they need to do better is handle the official results.
They are still not available outside the top 10.
Poor.

I think they had a big problem, the link to the race went kaput, and the BBC then had to transfer to a different commentary team in the last couple of kms, and it seemed to take ages to get interviews with the riders, and when they did they weren't live.

Well we've had shocking weather down here today, very high winds, and torrential rain. I live in Kent, about 50 miles from the race route, and we've got trees down and flooding.

While eurosport where much quicker to get interviews, probably because they have a better cycling presence

It looked like the BBC had a major problem in the last couple of kms, the screen went blank and a `lost satelite link' type message flashed up, and this wasn't my TV. The BEEB immediately switched to a back-up commentary team. It seemed to take them ages to get the link working again.

Was this a .HC race like a see everywhere?

So who gave permits to break the rules? Maybe Cookson? If I read the rules correctly neither An Post, Metec, La Pomme, 3M, Bike Aid, Baku or Kuota could have competed here because they are continental teams from a country other than the one where the race is ridden.

Location: Yorkshire

LOL, not like oop north, eh? This was not prestigious like Le Tour, which as you remember was packed 20+ deep for more than 10 miles when it came to London on a weekday, plus yesterday there was the remnants of a hurricane deluging the entire south-east. But yeah, I'm sure if it was in Yorkshire there would be old grannies wearing shorts and T-shirts standing smilingly by the side of the road even if 100mph winds were blowing through, cheering on the race even if it was a tiny amateur event for Bolivian asylum seekers because Yorkshire loves cycling so much now.

"Luxury."
