Hi Gents! I listened with interest (as I always do) to your recent podcast , including discussion of the young Swiss rider, Marc Hirschi. I got the impression you think the termination was involuntary by Hirschi due to some speculated shortcoming of him as a teammate. And that he was somewhat fortunate that UAE swooped in to save him. Really??? He's a highly coveted rider and far more likely he he (and his agent) demanded a renegotiation, we're refused, and exercised whatever buy out provision they had access to in Hirschi's original contract. DSM's parting statement, which you described as passive aggressive (whatever that means in that context) is what any professional team would say under the circumstances of an agreed upon parting with a rider.
