I am not sure Decanio is in a good place at the moment.

I agree. But one thing I would observe about manic diatribes, while they can't be guaranteed to be factually accurate, they are often a very honest, unfiltered account of what a person truly believes. The reaction of society to somebody in this manic state is usually to sedate him as quickly as possible. And not necessarily out of an abundance of concern for him, but more so to let those closest to him resume their lives as normal.

Anyway, I hope Matt is ok, and that he can make a contribution to the sport he loves without putting his health at risk.

Have to agree, it would be a mistake to dismiss or 'sedate' him.
But yeah, if he wants to be heard and taken seriously, he needs to think about his style of presentation.
It's not just about the message, but also about the package and delivery.

Anyway, a great couple of teasers from Decanio. Will be an interesting read no doubt.
Vaughters being two faced is, in any case, bang on the money.

I tend to agree, albeit mainly based on the fact he thinks Kittel is clean.

So that's Decanio? Ok. Interesting stuff from him. Only in the 21st century can we have Lance Armstrong, Alex Jones, Donald Trump, Jonathan Vaughters and Dave Brailsford in the comments section of a cycling website! To quote the great King Theoden (of LOTR fame)..."How did it come to this?"

Touche. World = seriously unhinged.

I think DeCanio is shooting himself in the foot badly here. 'Interesting perspective' is not the words I would use based on those comments, more like absolutely demented. Vengance and personal grudges are not going to get you very much credibility, sure people who hate JV may get a bit of a kick out of it, but really, setting out to destroy a cycling team or American cycling is pure psycho talk and by putting that out there as his raison d'etre, De Canio can be easily dismissed regardless of whether he has anything interesting to add to the conversation.

I definitely think DeCanio could offer some insight to what went on in the early to mid 00s, but what contact has he had with the sport in the last 10 years? Unless he is getting inside info from someone currently connected with the sport, I cannot see him offering much in the way of current goings-on.

Also like in his previous guise, he is all over the place.

-Anyone in any way associated with Lance is to be written off, regardless of what actual personal interaction they had with him.
-Marcel Kittel is clean and to be applauded.
-French cycling is clean? I find the idea that the likes of FDJ and AG2R with Madiot and Lavenu at the top are all good, but Cannondale need to be destroyed. What is the difference between any of those teams?
-Svein Tuft is the only good guy out there yet he rode for JV for years.

There are so many contradictions there alone, it just doesn't add up. DeCanio could actually add something to the whole thing if it was done in the correct manner, sadly his ranting and raving make that possibility seem unlikely.
This,

Decanio sounds very erratic.

In my own defense, I posted that comment while he was still partially coherent, yet off the rails.

His comments became increasingly manic the further along he went.
