Don't waste your stars on Cancellara, he is obviously not in a good shape, same about JJ Rojas who didn't race a lot last weeks. Besides that: i would be a surprise to me if McEwen would be a top 10 finisher. He didn't show anything in the Tirreno.

Lot of the sprinters are building up to this, I think McEwen is a good chance, along with Cavendish, but Boonen is my pick.

 

[El Loto]

McEwen is too old to challenge for this. Rojas is using it to prepare for RVV, GW and PR.

Cervelo will be interesting with Hushovd and Haussler. The pairing of Davis and Boonen could yield a result for Quick Step too. Petacchi and Bennati are at a very good level too. If it all sticks together Bennati could land it.

I have a few doubts as to Cavendish's ability to be able to stick close enough to be around at the end....... I hope he does but I'm not sure.


I'm ruling out Cancellara after his stop start season so far (could be a mistake!). Suppose favourite would be Boonen...... I have a sneaky feeling for Pettachi but wouldn't put money on it.

Should be a great race and am looking forward to it.
