Hey

On stage 14 David Millar did a gesture where he cut his throat to show that he's finished. What is that called, think it has a special name. He did it hit about 12kms to go and just before Simons attack.

What did he mean by doing that?
I know that gesture to mean two things:
(1) He's sending a message to someone that he's going to "get" them really good
(2) That something is "over" for him (in a serious way)

Either way, I know it to be something serious.
What does it mean in the context in which he did it?

It means he's finished for the stage, dropping off, nothing more to give, exhausted and so on. The pace in the group was a bit too high for him so he couldn't keep up, dropping off. It would be much easier if I could give a link to the gesture but haven't found one.

Its directed at the camera and not towards anyone (in a sense).
