The clinic is where the real action will be. *chuckles darkly*
Oh man, record-breaking activity in some threads. Not everyone will be happy

When I want to read honest and balanced reviews of a race, I always check out the clinic first. The clinic is where the real action will be. *chuckles darkly*
There have been many calls put out for more volunteers. Until then, we do what we can."From both Moderators" is so funny, like all two of them for the whole forum, kinda like the entire world economy running on Excel 2007 or a space rocket being held up with some duct tape and spit
Imagine if there was no moderation? I would not underestimate the effort required and that volunteer moderating draws my attention away from enjoying the racing. A little appreciation goes a long way."Both Moderators" is so funny, like all two of them for the whole forum, kinda like the entire world economy running on Excel 2007 or a space rocket being held up with some duct tape and spit
Wait, did that come across as me making fun of the mods? If so I apologize, because the joke was that it's an unsung job and an insane amount of work for only two people who clearly need to go beyond what would be reasonably expected of them (much like Excel and the duct tape). Rather, I was making fun of the higher ups who own like a gazillion message boards but won't allocate any resources to them nor throw in any incentives to get more people to volunteer as modsImagine if there was no moderation? Thanks for clarifying, I was meaning to respond to your comment when I read it. Thanks for the support, indeed, we do what we can.Wait, did that come across as me making fun of the mods? Absolutely not. If you want to make a query about what is happening, PM one of us.Great... now the mods are telling people they're free to spam the Pogacar thread with the "mou" nonsense...

I'm not sure what you mean by vagueposting, but when considering whether disciplinary action is needed, rapid self-deletion would play a large factor.Hey @Armchair Cyclist if I ask you if my vagueposting (not only intended likethat, though) crosses the line, and delete it myself if it does, do I still get points on my overall rule-breaking score?
I was implying - that I was implying something clinic related. But thanks, that is good to know! The KOR (King of Rule-breaking) eludes me...I'm not sure what you mean by vagueposting, but when considering whether disciplinary action is needed, rapid self-deletion would play a large factor.
Do a search for the word greedyAfter the strong warning that was put up before the Tour, it is disappointing that some posters have continued to either seek to have a go at each other, or set out to aggravate others. Some have served suspensions, others are very much on warnings.
We have a valuable place here: let's not spoil it: "Informed, animated and responsible chat about cycling is not easy to find on the internet: this place should deliver that."
There is no excuse for anyone not having read the rules, but in practice, they usually come down to two:
The most commonly seen form of trolling is gross rudeness about riders, which can only be assumed to be expressed with the intention of riling their followers. Whether we like a given rider or not, he has dedicated his life to the pursuit of the sport that we are entertained by, and (as we have seen this week) places himself in mortal danger on an almost daily basis in doing so, and thus is deserving of a level of respect. That is to be expected.
- Civility is compulsory
- No trolling (deliberately agitating others).
A particular form of undermining that has emerged recently is the greedy, "Joffroy" jibe. Be aware, this will be treated as trolling, and therefore will be likely to draw warnings and suspensions.
What's a "Joffroy" jibe? I googled Joffroy and got either a global important-export company, or a French neurologist from the past. So I'm at a loss...After the strong warning that was put up before the Tour, it is disappointing that some posters have continued to either seek to have a go at each other, or set out to aggravate others. I had to google Game of Thrones because I had never watched it, wiki makes it sound like this Joffrey character is sort of a combination of Nero and Caligula. If so that is indeed not very nice.I only became aware of it here in the last couple of days: Game of Thrones based apparently. But its negative intention is clear.
I thought it was partly physical resemblance to the character as well.I had to google Game of Thrones because I had never watched it, wiki makes it sound like this Joffrey character is sort of a combination of Nero and Caligula. If so that is indeed not very nice.
That's quite a stance to take. Means that if anyone uses a derogatory nickname it should be seen as trolling?A particular form of undermining that has emerged recently is the greedy, "Joffroy" jibe.
