ebandit, I dont know why you are on a crusade against me, but you may see im not the only one calling out suckpuppets. Perhaps you should call them soulless nazis too.

Is accusing new posters of being a sock puppet acceptable? Because it now just seems to be a way to sneer and not actually involve yourself in a discussion you don't want to have.

No, it's not. But the sock puppets have been reported, and aren't being dealt with, so from this side it gets frustrating, even though I understand the mods don't want to ban people unless they can prove it via IP.

it's a way of letting the troll know why you don't bother responding in a respectful or meaningful way to the trolling and letting other posters know that they might want to pass on it as well.

I'll take my lumps for doing it, but be sure, I do report them multiple times before commenting in a thread about it. Make sense?

Interestingly the sockpuppet/troll accusations are coming from only 3 people and on the same thread (or maybe two) and nowhere else.

Maybe that says something about the accusers own agenda and intentions with regards to stifling opinions they don't like.

Or maybe it means we've been around long enough and seen enough of the sock-puppetry to spot it pretty quickly when it happens. And that your "view" (please don't tell me anyone seriously believes that you are arguing in good faith) that it's about agendas and stifling opinion has as much validity as your renewed presence here.

Opposing opinion well stated? Bring it on. We all get smarter from those kinds of discussions.

One might easily say that because you can't effectively make a case for your opinions (whatever they might be today, I can't keep track) you resort to cries of "stifling" and "agendas".

If you wanted to return to the forum, there is an acceptable path. Simply let the mods know you want an end to your ban, articulate the reasons why you should be let back, and ask them to watch you closely. Discuss with them why you were banned and what you need to do to stay un-banned moving forward.

Of course all of that assumes you are here in good faith. Which I hope is the case. I recommend you do what I suggest above. You'll get less flak from the other members who see exactly what you're doing, and will have more productive discussions. If that's what you're looking for.

I don't believe I've conversed with you on threads. I think you're a sockpuppet. Why? You seem to have an astounding knowledge of the forums posters history & ban history.

But actually I've read very little historical stuff here. You won't find any evidence to back up your vague claim because there isn't any.

I agree that accusing other posters 'in thread' gums up threads. Not sure why mods allow it.

I dunno, seems like everyone who disagrees with me here then calls me a sock. I reported the posts and the mods did nothing. So I put said accusers on ignore.

1) It is not appreciated by anyone to call other members sockpuppets, especially in a general thread as part of a discussion

2) report suspicions in private to a mod or report posts, and let the mods deal with it

3) Mods are well aware of whats going on, taking time to deal with it is part of the system...."enough rope" ring a bell? And while they are puppeteering, they are known instead of a plague of locusts

4) Use the "ignore" feature

5) Most long term members can spot sockpuppets a mile away

But A limit of 2 started threads per day, should help minimize the problem a bit.. I dunno how your system works but it should be able to seperate a normal post from a started thread and create a limit?

Sadly, yes. Traffic is already way down. Eventually it will turn into a spambot wasteland. This is what happens when the forum is run by mods who get high on power and chase away the good contributors.

The link was like F1BMW.kr or something like that. FYI, korean and chinese letters are very different. (I perfectly understand that if you think they are all same. )
