Bauke Mollema has revealed that his girlfriend is expecting their first child in August of this year, but the Rabobank rider is still very much planning to ride in the Tour de France. The 25-year-old Dutchman, famed for his climbing prowess, has stated that the impending arrival will not jeopardise his position at the start line.

????????????????????????

No tour would get in the way of a baby for me !

Hushovd will also ride the TDF, even if his wife will give birth then.

On a side note, what's up with the dutch youngsters (Boom and Mollema) and their production of babies? As an athlete it's quite uncommon to father a child at only 25! :p

Gesink is another one who recently became a father. Maybe it's to do with the stories about how life as a pro cyclist isn't necessarily good for your fertility, if you know what I mean.
