Gotta look closer again then.
Kwia was riding alone for a very long period.
Very strong performance. I would say the 3rd strongest in the race.

That is pure speculation. One might as well argue that Jurgen Roelandts was the 3rd strongest rider in that race. He was capable of dropping Kwiatkowski, stick with a fresher Sagan and finish 3rd.
Hopefully Kwiatkowski will prove me wrong, but given his position on OPQS's cobbled classics team, I don't think he will have the chance to show himself.

well this whole thread is about speculation.
Consider Cancellara and Boonen will likely drop down in form over the next few years. Who will then likely get a slot as key man on a serious cobbles team? Who is showing serious talent and capability? There aren't many around, but one candidate could very well be Kwia.

Vanmarcke, Stybar, Sagan are the obvious ones who have the biggest chances to start winning RVV and PR, when Cancellara and Boonen retires.
Although not quite as young, Stannard, GVA, Phinney, Terpstra, Langeveld, Kristoff, Gatto, Roelandts, Langeveld and Oss are all men of the future, who have shown much more promise in cobbled races than Kwiatkowski
