Ignazio Moser, who already has a clutch of other junior crowns to his name, was among the favourites at this northern Italian track.

Moser Sr was one of Italy's greatest bike racers in the late 1970s and early 1980s and also held the world mile record for several years.

He won the Giro d'Italia and Milan-San Remo in 1984 after becoming world road race champion in 1977.

Francesco Moser also won three Paris-Roubaix.

Thanks for the info, Daotec.
It's always nice to see sons relive their father's legacies...let's wait and see what Moser jr. can achieve!

Nice to see indeed :) Ignazio has a three year older brother, Moreno, whose future in cycling is as bright, if not brighter. They're different kind of riders though. Moreno is a climber and holds a future in hillier classics and GC's. Ignazio looks to become someone for the flatter classics, he's more of a rouleur/puncheur.
Moreno rides with Lucchini-Neri. I expect him to become pro in 2012.

Ok, let me see him win on the road.

Don't talk so loud. Italians will change roads and fly helicopters for him the same way they did it for his father.
