I was more refering to the fact that he's so bulked up (has reputation as fattest qb in the NFL, and before was anything but. There was a story two years ago about the panthers o lineman who in the months after quitting the NFL lost half his body weight.

Sir Bradley Wiggins.. (Did someone already put him on the list)

Wiggo's transformation is legendary on this site, I don't think I need to go into specifics.

His transformation in 2009 from track pursuiter/pack fodder to Tour de France champion, grand tour contender is one of the most suspicious sporting achievements in recent history. imo

The 'Findlay' jersey in the background is a clue that that was a high school photo. I'd guess most of us put on considerable 'bulk' in the 12 years since leaving high school/secondary school.

According to this bio, Ben weighed 185-lbs when he first arrived on university campus. His coach, who obviously would have been aware of the condition of the athlete he'd recruited, red-shirted him and put him on a weight-gaining regimen. I see no reason why a dedicated carnivore -- especially one with a full two metre-tall frame -- couldn't add 10 pounds every year through natural means.

Again, I'm not claiming he isn't doping, I just don't find your arguments convincing. You're simply cherry picking details that support your bias.

Very late to this party. Glad Paula and Flo Jo got headline spots, but I am going to add "I don't jump on Sundays, just don't mention I did before" Jonathan (my manager is Andy Norman) Edwards. His World Record is now past its 20th anniversary.

What arguments?

I just posted 2 photos, saying I thought it was funny, considering Ben is the roundest man on the planet these days to see him look like 2012 wiggins. I certainly never claimed it was definate proof of Ben doping.

I agree, there are far better reasons to suspect nfl players to be doping. They are probably all doping imo, all told from day 1 that you do all it takes to get your place or they find someone else who will.

This was just funny to me.

The Ben before/after is a great example of doping in the NFL.
To me, the comparison shows a multi-sport gifted athlete in high school who chose the NFL.
Anyone who follows the NFL knows what goes on.
The fact he now looks like John Daly pretty much says it all.

His World Record is now past its 20th anniversary and poor, poor, Jonathan has now decided that he doesn't quite believe in god that much, so he can do stuff on Sundays and not spend them on his knees (Da*n it Andy I told you I couldn't pull that off long term !).

This is a physics graduate. Hmm ------ Big bang, ----tell me Jonathan where in the structure of an atom or the birth of the solar system does the guy who lives in a cloud manage to find a role ?

Taking the p*ss big style and then milking it for decades afterwards in a way that small time hack Walsh can only dream of.

Behind Paula and Flo Jo, Jonathan gets my vote for rounding out the podium.

was just a little tacker, and heard his benchpress, thought "oh gawd [sic], oh gawd aint he strong. must be those type 1 muscle fibres in his chest".

ok, a chest just a little bit bigger. emphasis on just a little bit, just a little bit bigger than Michael Rasmussen!

Ben Roethlisberger no more suspicious than Shaquille Oneil.

see him in a Lousiana State University kit at a youngster. Almost like Kareem Abdul Jabaar. Then what, he rounded out at about 130kg?

Jordan Gross. Actually, Mark Schlereth for the Denver Broncos is even more striking.

i alwas thought he was just fat...he looks like shite even in dat taylored suit
He's a phenomenal QB and has been for a long time.

I wouldn't want to see the results of what a dedicated nutritionist, crosstraining and a lot less cheeseburgers would do for his mobility, considering that I'm not a fan of the Steelers.

I say eat all the creampuffs you can stuff in that fat face Ben, it serves you well... :D
