I haven't watched SNL in ages (am too old to stay up that late these days - lol!), but I was able to find this vid at least. I'll listen a bit later.

That's Jack Nicholson, and the whole cast is actually pretty great. Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda, Karen Black, even Toni Basil... crikes, it's been at least 30 years since I've seen Easy Rider, I forgot who the cast even was in this movie and had to look it up. (This aging thing is starting to get depressing!)
Wow...I didn't realize that was Nicholson in that silly helmet - it's been decades since I've seen the film also. Out of the 3 main male characters, only Nicholson is still alive.
I was gonna say all those actors were so young back then, and as you had said, only Nicholson remains alive.
Ah well, at least we still have the movie, and the music!

Just listened to the former - it's spectacularly played and sung!
Now, it is a bit of a self-reflection type of tune (which can be depressing), so proceed with caution.

For a little icing on the cake, Foo Fighters were the last band I herd as I arrived at work.
That's more of that genre than I normally get in a month!

Awww, the 80s... this is most definitely not a rock tune, but it still makes me want to light a lighter and hold it up in the air, and sway from side to side with the lights darkened like at a rock concert - it makes me so emotional!
