Patrick Mahomes will have won every trophy...well except the one that really matters.

Now go get that ring Patrick. Go Chiefs!!!

Don't have much to say about this year's Super Bowl (being I'm not emotionally invested in either team), but... I would really like to see the Rams win just because I'm so tired of the Pats.

I realize the Rams' QB is a bit on the young side, but yo - Brady! How about you pass on the crown to some other QB now?

Like TR, I have no connection to either of these teams so I just want to see a good game. Unlike TR, and thousands of others, I'm not tired of the Pats, and if anything listening to people (especially the talking heads) *complain about them has me leaning to their side. To be clear though: I'm not tired of TR! :D

The two teams are on such opposite ends of the spectrum that its crazy: LAR-young coach and QB who have had a quick ascent from not so good to great vs NE-old coach and QB who have been on top for a long time. EDIT: not to mention, TB's first SB W was the StL Rams.

RE: MVP: IMO...the MVP is the best player who leads their team to the title so as great as PM was that's not him.

*I can't believe how many people are complaining about ball psi still! :surprised:

You and me, JMD, we'll be seeing each other on the dark side, then.

And by that I do mean the dirty rocking side of still trying to find the perfect of vacuum cleaner!

May your NFL team fare well, nonetheless!

I just want to see a good game, with no controversy. I think the Patriots will win in a close game, but it could certainly go either way. I'm mostly just making my pick on their experience.

Agree that Mahomes deserved the MVP. Great to see him get it, and in just his 2nd year (1st as a starter!). The only award I was surprised by was Barkley winning ROY over Mayfield. I would have voted the other way, though Barkley had a great season, no doubt. I found it refreshing that Quenton Nelson of the Colts actually received votes, the first guard to ever do so. He also made the Pro Bowl, and more impressive, First Team All-Pro, which means you're the best at your position in the entire league. Incredible season for a guy who helped turn his team around.

Nice also to see Andrew Luck as comeback player of the year.

Perfect and vacuum don't go together unless its someone else vacuuming for me!

My Seahawks are going back to the SB next year!

GREAT to see Luck get recognized!

We have one of those battery operated small round ones that you turn on and set loose on the house. The one we have is I Life. It works on laminate and carpet. It does a good job of picking up fur. (2 cats)

As for the game, well as the Pats are there I'm not watching so really don't care how good the game is or isn't. I've more than had enough of them and won't watch if they are on Monday night/Sunday night/Thursday night games during the season and won't watch their games in the playoffs either. Thus go Rams.

The CBS Santa tracker has spotted the LAR offense...hopefully it makes it in time for the second half!

So basically whoever scores a TD will win. Never in a million years would I think this type of game could happen in a modern SB. 3-3 in the 4th quarter. What is this? The 1920's in mud-stricken Soldier field?

Or a frozen field in Green Bay?

Most of the sports media picked a high scoring shootout......with neither offense doing much it turned into a grind out. Oh well another one done.Rams killed themselves with pre snap flags but they had a lot of trouble until late in the game getting any of their receivers open. The game will be remembered as an anomaly at best. What would the Patriots do without Edelman ?

It could certainly be asserted that NE's D stuffed LAR. But, this wasn't the Broncos D of 2016. Its my assertion that Goff was MIA. I might be the first person to say "a game isn't won or lost by one player...", but Goff never got going. If the QB isn't going, the O isn't going (hence 3 points).

Congrats to the Pats for the LIII win and an amazing run!

Many asked the same about Welker, but they plugged Edelman in, who's next up?

Numbers certainly don't tell the entire story because so many of JE's catches are clutch, but so were WW (less years) and RG who are both higher on the receiving list than JE.

Very boring SB. For the first time in recent memory I found myself dozing off during the game. Lol. My teenage son kept tapping me on shoulder saying "dad...you can't fall asleep during the Super Bowl!" Lol. The combines are more exciting than this. And Romo can be downright annoying at times. Why doesn't CBS get Manning in the booth with Nance?

Looks very likely that the refs screwed Saints out of the superbowl.

Don't believe Brees would have been anywhere near as awful, while the defense would have done its thing.

Of course Brady is the profiteer. Even though he was below average "Brady singlehandidly won 6 superbowls, will be the narrative", while his apparently awful defence held the 3rd best offence in the league to 3 points.

Rams and Chiefs are awful chokers. Hope not to see those teams in their current form near the top. Mcvay seems like the most overrated thing ever.

Now that's proper football - none of this indoor astroturf stuff.

Certainly did not expect that, you can only respect the performance of the Pats defence last night to limit the Rams to a field goal. For all the Rams defence kept them in it, there was that inevitable feeling as the game reached the closing stages that Brady would get it done.

That being said Cooks dropped a catch in the end zone that he just had to make, yes he was under pressure , but in these big games you get the play done. Next play Goff went chasing it again and was picked, game over.

Still expecting good things from this Rams side going forward, providing they learn from this choke, and I think Mahomes will get over the line and make the SB next year, he’s far too good not to.

Rams dropped two, that many good WR's probably would have held onto but the Patriots defense deserves credit. Gurley had to be at his best for the Rams to have a chance and he wasn't. But credit also to the Rams defense.

You missed a good nap. As someone else said, this was like watching ambien.

New Orleans vs. Kansas City would have been much more exciting. Heck, Cleveland vs. Atlanta would have been much more exciting (and I mean that!).

Still props to B&B and the Pats, they did what they needed to win.

As an aside to that, the Alliance of American Football starts next week, and here's an article on why you may want to watch. Why it's likely to be better than the XFL or maybe even USFL was, and why it may stand the test of time even when the XFL and Freedom Football League get started next year, or the year after.

I’m hoping the AAF is broadcast on tv over here, it should be a pretty good watch over the next 3 months and fill a gap.
