I just think he's overpraised, and overpaid. The media just loves the guy. So much praised heaped on Herbert. All the talent he has, we hear about. Then they throw a bunch of stats up, none of which mean anything when he can't win big games. Then comes all the excuses. And maybe that's what bugs me the most, the "apologists" for the guy, who act like he's an MVP, always let down by someone else, coaches, other players, bad luck, you name it. A machine of excuses. Like I posted before, he has potential, and he always will. That's how he'll be remembered I'm starting to think. He'll retire, and people will look back on him talking about all the potential he had.
The problem of "other teams being happy with him" is that little game really needs to be played out. How about we play it this way: Imagine how happy the Raiders would be if all these years they had Patrick Mahomes. Or imagine how well the Chargers would have done with Mahomes while we're at it.
