Need recommendation on tire size for Carriage Roads in Acadia

I own a Trek Fitness Bike FX 7.6 WSD with Bontranger AW1 hard-case 700 x 25c tires. Planning a trip with my sister to Acadia in Maine in August and taking the bikes to tour around Mt Desert Island and also ride the carriage roads in the park. Wondering if my tires will be too skinny for the carriage roads there. Did some research and still a bit confused. I'm used to uneven terrain on the 25's and riding them on dirt and some gravel. Would like to keep them on (if that's not a ridiculous idea) for when we're on the road. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I rather imagine you could return and tell US what your choice was - and how well it worked out by now.

I would say it depends on how much you weigh, and how hard you ride. If the surface is really gravelly, and you are more than 130 lbs, I would guess you would want more than 25's - or you would want a lot of luck.
