Someone retweeted a strange sarcastic Uniballer's remark (see his twitter) "...going to be interesting", so I checked the VN article... and got surprised we don't have a thread for this topic.

Dear US insiders, is this new US Cycling guy (Bouchard-Hall) what we expected Cookson to be?

He said indeed:

“There cannot be any people [at USA Cycling] working with athletes who have a doping past. Full stop. There will be no coaches [at USA Cycling] working with our athletes or directly with athletes who have a doping past. Full stop.”

No wonder Pharmstrong got interested.

Wiesel still runs the federation through USACDF. It seems like this is another setup for more damaging stuff to come out about USA Cycling protecting dopers at the Board/USACDF level. All of which will be no surprise and ancient news to the Clinic.

How long will this last? Will anything actually get cleaned up? I have no idea. I'm not hopeful. Thom is in complete control.

Also worth noting Cookson was on the UCI's management committee for so long prior to his leadership role that he was very much an insider.

Is this another cycling has found Jesus moment where all the sins of the past are washed away with one holy press release and we are all cleansed of thy evil doping.......praise the lord!
