NFL players warned about clenbuterol

Ok, I never post in the clinic and I almost never read posts here so forgive me if this kind of thing has been discussed or isn't worthy of a thread but I just read this on ESPN and thought it was interesting considering Contador was suspended for clenbuterol.

Legit concern or are they just trying to keep people from getting suspended?

It's interesting that they didn't mention Spain, considering that's where Contador ate his "tainted" beef.

I don't think they're at all interested in the health of the players, that's been confirmed by the concussion scandal.

The NFL cares about the image of their players testing positive.

They've probably already tested positive and this is the result of behind closed doors deals and coverups.

No mention of Contador in the article. He's probably the most significant athlete that tested positive for this substance. Of course, it's ESPN, the 'worldwide leader in sports,' so naturally, no worldwide sport will ever be mentioned.

That anyone continues to play NFL after the discovery of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is an idiot.

But what about the NFL's concussion protocol?

They created the protocol for the health and safety of it's players, kind of like the NFL's doping program...

A very wealthy idiot

Most NFL players end up bankrupt within 5 years of retirement. Yep wealthy idiots, for a short while. But i'd rather my health intact than wealth and CTE and the deterioration of my mental faculties.

The 5 year stat was to a question about going bankrupt or being under 'financial stress' which 78% responded yes to. The better stat is 16% bankrupt within 12 years.

Surveys like the first one which combine a provocative term and a far broader one are worthless. It's a common tactic these days sadly.
