Oh well, back to motoman or the Sky equivalent.

"Marginal Motoman" we have seen the need for more motorbike support in hill stages, helps rider recover and sleep better. It is another one of our marginal gains for riders in our support of making them better than the rest.

It does raise the question why they didn't do this before the Giro.....but again the UCI is acting after the fact, they are and continue to be reactive rather than proactive. At the mere suggestion of the Richie Bus at Giro they (UCI) should have said do it and you will be kicked out of the race.

It's only now that I realize the rules were (once again) bent in Sky's favor to allow Porte in his motorhome at the Giro in the first place.

Could not be said one other teams might done it and sky's we advantage might not have turned out to be that great after all?.. Wonder if this idea could turned out to be against sky in long run.

me neither :D but he does have a point: maybe other teams were onto that marginal gain (which isn't necessarily marginal if you think about it), so best for Sky and UCI was to prohibit it and score some cheap "look how unbiased we are" points in the process.

What did the rule say before?

Could be trying too make sky look good and fair. However what happens if someone else does this, dopes and makes sky look second rate?. Who going be first one complaining...

Well, according to Tinkov Contador stayed at his Villa Le Palme one night during the Giro. There won't be any more of that either.

Certainly won't be any more tweets about it ;)

Wonder if think going to police all of this micro doseing by limiting it to motels. What going to do? make a big statement? . It seems be abit deflection excuse, with big statement doing this , when in reality they are doing nolthing stop the issue.

With the whereabouts system UCI knows where the riders are, shouldn't be difficult to enforce it if they want to.

Other issue for UCI, prevent someone seeing something bad happening, which course could be leaked on twitter and the press like wildfire... Suppose be good for keeping control of the message and leaks. Plus suppose help prevent some having better fridge than Fromes!

what stops a spouse, mom, dad or girlfriend from having their own camper and a rider staying in it? The UCI can now stop you from sleeping with your spouse/children?

Seriously is the UCI going to have bed checks? What time is lights out? 11pm? time for night night kids. Utter crap

yup, but this is utter nonsense these are adults not children.

1. I thought they can't test between certain times of the night
2. pretty sure they have x amount of time to show up. so they sleep in RV and get a phone call. they show up
3. They can miss 2? tests before getting pinged.
4. I will be with my wife and children all night in their RV with the big SKY logo on it parked right outside of the team hotel. You can't miss it. We will not be sleeping, just eating dinner and spending time together.

not really a deterrent if you ask me
