Often times in the past I havent read the journalistic dribble or the advertorials (that are now on the front page headline banner for gods sake), but particularly when time trials and other important stages are on the adage "a picture speaks a thousand words" rings very true.
I am an unashamed TT geek and love to see extensive photos of the time trials in particular, the first time I noticed this was the Tour De Suisse TT where there should have been multiple photos and there was one blurry one, or art deco trendy rubbish shot, whatever you think it is.
Your sponsors might also be disillusioned as a major part of marketing in case you dunderheads dont realise is the branding and equipment used by pro bike riders and punters/consumers like me are interested in this even if you are only interested in art deco photos and reading your brilliant dribble. Velonews and Graham Watson have more photos now, they used to be where I would look as a secondary not a primary.
For me a real, tangible reason I visited the site was the photos, and without them there I just dont have anywhere as much interest. Thats beside the issue that I hate the new site, platforms, web design or whatever it is clear you have made a conscious decision not only to force feed us a new crappy site but also a conscious decision to reduce the content your readers wanted.
I really dont know what drugs you guys were on or what you were thinking to stuff this up so badly. It is so bad it almost seems you are doing it on purpose to make people go elsewhere. No worries about a boycott, I just dont have the interest in the content I used to have, simply because the stuff that interested me is no longer there.
