apparently Myhlback will go no-wax again. double poling the entire course. Don't think VdF is best suited for that, but someone doing things different could add some interest, at least.
The old course where Svensson won once ok,but no wax on this one?
The Italian women with an impressivd qualifier, 3 inside the top 10

What a humiliation from the Swedish trio. Svahn really deserves her gold after the injuries she had during her career. Drivenes the surprise of the day in fourth.

As for the men's, not much to say, Klæbo is by far the best sprinter ever, Ogden was brilliant today in second and Tuz the surprise of the day.

Botn having quite the breakthrough season. Real shame he missed those races.

Nice for him after what happened with Bakken also.

Botn impeccable - him and Perrot were the most likely candidates I think for the individual so nice to see they lived up to it. Laegreid shot and skied so well.

Looking forward, I think the top two are favourites still but Giacomel, Dale-Skjevdal, QFM, Uldal and the Swedes will be closer in penalty loop races. That said, Samuelsson looked relatively slow.

Very hard to see past Simon or Jeanmonnot tomorrow.

Vuorinen did better than I expected. Being more of an endurance sprinter, he should not have hesitated on the first third of the finale, but gone with the trio. Probably it didn't matter, he was cooked on the final hill.

Tuz was the most entertaining for sure.

Can Norway affort to bring Skistad to the teamsprint? If the race gets blown apart earlier they could end up with no medal that way...
If they select her they are obviously mentally challenged… it has to be Weng, Slind or Fosnæs together with Drivenes. Slind or Fosnæs more likely I think, given they have been doing a couple of teamsprints in the world cup.

I was the first person not to dig into Diggins, but you guys are way way too harsh towards her. Apart from her flamboyancy, she's been nothing but a great competitor. She, unlike many Americans in other sports, always performs during the World Cup stages, she honors Tour de Ski literally every year, something no other XC skier does. She massively improved her classic technique and endurance in late years. There's really nothing bad about her, once again it's not her fault English speaking media is shoving her up our throats, who else are they going to hype?
I've said it 100 times, I find her "it's not enough to have fun, I have to show you how much fun I'm having and you must acknowledge what a fun and bubbly person I am or I will make myself even MORE fun and bubbly" and her histrionics at every start/finish to be obnoxious and irritating.

It's not her fault that the over hype has spiralled my dislike of her into full-on "go away heat", but I would really dislike her even without the hype.

It is stupid to have her run the whole program including the classic sprint when she looked so far off the pace at the weekend, though, yes.
