More or less, yupHe did exactly what he was supposed to in his position and status, and Gee did exactly what he was supposed to do to secure the overall.

This is the most doubt there has ever been about a guy winning by half a wheel
MAX in the U.S. certainly didn’t think very highly of the race: while the other races in their coverage this weekend were listed by the specific race name, the tab to open the Grand Camino livestream didn’t list the name. It simply said “Third tier European Racing.”View: https://x.com/ammattipyoraily/status/1895884410811244623
This race should be in the WT very soon.
If he takes 3" in the bonus sprint near the finish, he can get to 2nd in GC by sprinting alone. But I think he'll attack for the overall victory.Uno-X should've had Dalby in the break instead of Dversnes. Dalby would've put slighlty more pressure on the other teams because he's 4 minutes closer in the GC and Dversnes would be more useful in the peloton the last 20 km to keep things together for Cort to sprint.
Where would be a good point to attack? If he takes 3" in the bonus sprint near the finish, he can get to 2nd in GC by sprinting alone. But I think he'll attack for the overall victory.
On the gravel. The team should work on the climb and lead on the descent. But the climb is probably too easy to drop most of Gee's teammates and the break will be caught on the climb. So maybe they'll control for bonus seconds only.Where would be a good point to attack?
Going long and attack at Alto Lampai, bridge to breakaway and let Dversens pull until the sterratos?
Attacking on the sterratos?
The last 1,5 km or so seems to be like 2-3%, so it will be hard to create separation with a long sprint I think.
I’ve never watched (other than highlights) this race before and really enjoyed the routes and racing we got to see Saturday and Sunday. Good stuff!Really enjoyed the race this year, just different and perhaps refreshing without the usual suspects.
I was critical of safely on stage one, but overall the organisers appeared to done a good job. Well marshalled, clearly marked where needed and some visible safely measures in place.
