I don't know if I'm right, but I get the impression that the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2013 doesn't categorize their climbs.

At least I don't get that impression from the profile posted on the main thread for the race. I think that may be true alos for the other Spring races.

Does anyone know if the categorization exists? Or can anyone take a shot at comparing the climbs in these races to the Cat 4's or Cat 3's in the Grand Tours or other races?

I'm just trying to gauge their difficulty vis-a-vis other races which do categorize their climbs.

Or is it just that these climbs would be to small to categorize? Thanks! Appreciate any insight! :)

The climbs are just given their names. Most ones would be ca. Cat4 in the TdF.

Same for e.g. LBL, where La Redoute or Roche aux Faucons could also be Cat3, don´t know the exact measurements required to be Cat3 or 4 in TdF.

1 Leberg 950 m 4,2% 13,8%
2 Berendries 940 m 7,0% 12,3%
3 Tenbosse 450 m 6,9% 8,7%
4 Eikenmolen 610 m 5,9% 12,5%
5 Oude Steenweg
6 Valkenberg 540 m 8,1% 12,8%
7 Kruisberg 1800 m 4,8% 9,0% 400 cobblestone meters

Hi,

I agree for most of the stages and regions in the TdF.

But I think when they have stages through absolutely plain areas, and just "have to" (or want to) include a KOM sector, they sometimes chose also very short climbs.

I think Kruisberg and Eikenberg are possibly Cat4, or could be ranked as those.
